There are a number of hikes in the area, including a beginner-friendly stroll around the lake so you can see it from every angle the mountains will allow.

This moderate hike through Banff's famed Johnston Canyon takes the average hiker around two hours to complete. This trail can get crowded due to popularity, but if you get an early enough start, it's well worth the trip.
