Our story began on April 4, 2019. Jalen was working an event hosted by Ludacris at the Ravine in downtown Atlanta. The event had been all over the radio, and of course, what girl wouldn’t want to go to a free concert with complimentary food and drinks? Jasmine showed up with her friend Mwajuma, not looking for anything but to be her usual social butterfly self, making friends with everyone she met.

Fast forward to the end of the night—after having a little too much fun (a.k.a. drinks, lol)—Jasmine was waiting for her friend to use the bathroom as the event was winding down. That’s when Jasmine saw Jalen for the first time.

Conversation between Jasmine & Jalen

Jasmine: Hey you're cute (looking directly at Jalen)

Jalen: Hey man she's talking to you (some guy working with him at the time)

Jasmine: NOOOO I'm talking to you (never looks at other guy and points directly at Jalen so there is no confusion)

Jalen: (not saying anything for a moment)

Jasmine: Sooooo can I have your snapchat ?

Jalen: I don't use snapchat

Jasmine: Okay well what's your instagram?

Jalen: I don't have instagram

Unknown worker: "Hey, it's time for you to leave. He can't talk to you because he's working, and you can't have his number."

Jasmine: Are you his manager or his boss?

Unknown worker: No but...

Jasmine: Okay then....(interrupting and looking back at Jalen) So can I have your number? So I can leave...

Jalen: Gives Jasmine her number

After Jasmine gets and saves Jalens number. The next day when she goes to text him she quickly realizes she has way too many digits then she was suppose to. So she calls her friend since high school Kenya to figure out which number it could be. He gives Jasmine three possible numbers. Jasmine text all three numbers on April 6th, 2019 saying.

Jasmine: " Hey is this Julian?"

Jalen: " Nope Jalen".

Jasmine: "I meant Jalen but my auto correct changed it haha. Sorry if I got you in trouble the other night.... it's Jasmine".

And just like that, the right text found the right guy, and a random night turned into the beginning of a love story neither one of us saw coming.
