Their story begins in a place very important to the two of them, and that is New Life Church.

It all began during the summer of 2021 when they crossed paths at an event called Church-ella. It was the first time they saw each other and got to introduce themselves to one another. Through the years, their friendship grew from after-church group hangouts to group mini-golf.

At the beginning of 2023, Aaron began to develop feelings towards Jazz. Although at the time she wasn’t ready, Aaron knew if he had one shot he was going to take it. It went from helping her move her stuff into storage, to then seeing her leave to California. Not knowing if she would come back, Aaron stayed in communication with her and constantly bugged Jazz so she knew he was there.

Eventually, Jazz moved back to Washington and hit Aaron with the "I was wondering if I could take you up on the helping hand you offered?" card. Without any question or hesitation, he helped her move into her new apartment.

This is where their story takes the next step.

Constant messaging and calls turned into "hey, we should grab dinner someday" and this is where Aaron began his real pursuit of Jazz. He saw in her one of the most amazing hearts he had ever seen in his life, and her love for Christ and the church was something he prayed for in someone. Jazz still wasn’t ready for a relationship, but she also saw a man who had an amazing heart not only for God but for those around him. Eventually Aaron asked Jazz to be his girlfriend and she accepted.

As time went by, Aaron knew he had to let her know how he felt. Although he was confident she would feel the same way, he hit Jazz one day with the "I love you" card. With a smile on his face and looking for an "I love you too", Aaron was met with silence and a, "I'm not there yet". Crushed and kind of bummed out Aaron understood Jazz wasn’t ready, but he wanted her to know he wanted a serious committed relationship with her.

Eventually, after 3 months, Jazz grabbed Aaron by the hand and said, "I’m in love with you". Success!

After completing one year of dating and seeing growth, not only in the relationship but also as individuals, Aaron knew she was the one. He knew he couldn’t live without Jazz and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. After praying and seeking God, he felt in his heart she was the perfect match for him.

On June 7th, 2024 Aaron got on one knee and asked Jazz to marry him. Without any hesitation, she said yes, and their story continues from there.
