David and Jasmine met through a mutual friend while studying at the University St. Thomas. After spending a summer getting to know each other during many late nights with their friends at Jasmine's house near campus, David finally worked up the courage to ask Jasmine to start dating the day before he left for Arizona for the semester. Luckily for him, she said yes! The following months consisted of late night phone calls, texting, and pizza orders from across the country - the months flew by and when David finally came back to Minnesota they were all but inseparable. For the rest of college they spent their time hanging out with their friends, watching bad horror movies (at David's insistence), and focusing on completing college. After graduating, they moved into their condo in Minneapolis, and eventually conversations turned towards the next big step in their lives - marriage! David proposed during the Thanksgiving holiday of 2021 looking out at an Arizonan sunset, and their long engagement is finally coming to an end!
