It was Saturday, November 24th, 2018, when we first met at a Louis the Child concert. We had planned to meet each other there, since we shared mutual friends attending the show. We danced and laughed the night away. After, I didn't think much about how meeting Julian would lead to what it has. I was living in Minneapolis at the time, he was in Fargo. I had a very important calculus exam to study for, and he was far away for a girl without a car. Nevertheless, Julian seemed to see what I initially failed to, and he asked me out on a date when I came home for winter break. He took me to my favorite restaurant at the time, Noodles and Co. We hit it off from then on and have spent all our time together since.

We've spent six years filling them with adventures, laughter, learning and growing together. We went from dating, living four hours apart, to fifteen minutes, and now to seven hours while I finish school in Des Moines, IA. We both can attest to the statement that distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. Through all these changing times, we have found constant strength and support in one another.

On Tuesday June 12th, 2024, Julian proposed! We were in Duluth, MN, for a camping trip to spend some time away together and celebrate Julian's 26th birthday. I started to get a little bit suspicious that something was up when Julian told me we were heading to Gooseberry Falls to take some 'cute pictures' before dinner. I got a little more suspicious when he decided to play "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield on our drive north... I was still completely shocked when he finally got down on one knee and proposed on the shore of Lake Superior!

We are so grateful we found each other and cannot wait to begin this new and exciting chapter of life together.
