Hope for Mitchell 

In the summer of 2003, Jasmine and Brandon entered the doors of the best high school in Baltimore, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. They walked the same halls, graduated the same year, and had mutual friends. Yet, despite being so close, they wouldn't speak for another 21 years. Their story began in the summer of 2024. Brandon was preparing to leave his beloved children, who carry the memory of their late mother, De'Naya, with his mom for the summer, but was met with a dilemma. As he was about to return to California his baby girl began to show signs of separation anxiety. Since his job was mostly remote at that time, he cancelled his flight and stayed in Baltimore for the summer. This act of fatherly love opened the door to a romantic love story that would defy odds. Brandon and Jasmine began noticing and liking each other’s Instagram stories. Then, Brandon took the leap! He slid in the DMs and asked Jasmine on a date! Little did Brandon know, Jasmine had been praying for him to make that very move. Their first date was pure magic--they finished each other's sentences and seemed to read each other's mind. It was perfect! After a wonderful dinner, they walked hand-in-hand by the water smiling from ear to ear. What truly forged their bond was their profound love for God, a spiritual anchor that deepened their connection, followed by their shared passion for delicious food! Within a month, they visited the Bible museum, had Bible study at Peabody library, and enjoyed a crab festival. They fell in love on that first date, a love so undeniable it felt as if it had always existed. Jasmine's heart immediately embraced Brandon's children, forming a quick and loving connection with his daughter, Rose. During their first outing with the children, with an innocent wisdom that only children posses, his daughter declared I need two parents, one for me and one for my brother. And within mere hours, little Rose, sweetly laid her sleepy head in Ms. Jasmine’s chest as if she had known her forever. The legacy of their mother's love, De'Naya's beautiful spirit, will always be honored in our new family. We are grateful for God’s grace, mercy, and love that brought us together, and for the countless God-confirming moments in our relationship. This is a kingdom marriage committed to honoring Christ and living out His word. We are excited about what God has in store for our family.  Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
