We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but space is limited. If your RSVP does not list a guest beside your name, we aren’t able to accommodate a plus one—thank you for understanding. This is a formal event, but please refrain from wearing the colors white (because “Duhhh”), gold or champagne, and any shade of blue as these colors have been reserved for the wedding party.

Our Wedding

It was the fall of 2017, the kind of season where the air started to turn crisp and everything seemed to slow down just a little. The leaves were changing, the days were getting shorter, and neither of us had any idea that our lives were about to cross paths in a way that would change everything. We met through a mutual friend who was absolutely convinced that we needed to meet each other. She had apparently decided that we would be perfect for each other and was determined to set us up on a blind date. The only problem was that he was not completely sold on the idea of going on a date with someone he had never seen before. So before agreeing to anything, he had one very important condition.He needed photo approval.He told our friend that before he committed to a date, he at least needed to see a picture first. Honestly, who could even blame him, blind dates are a big risk. Our friend happily pulled up a picture of me and showed it to him, confident that her matchmaking skills were about to pay off.Luckily for both of us, I passed the inspection.When we finally met, it didn’t feel awkward the way blind dates sometimes do. Instead, the conversation came easily. We talked, laughed, and before long it felt like we had known each other longer than just a few hours. Somewhere between the jokes and the conversation, something just clicked.Looking back, it’s kind of funny that our entire relationship technically started because you needed to “approve the photo” first. Because what started as a friend insisting we go on a blind date, and you making sure I passed the photo test, turned into one of the best decisions either of us could have made.
