Our journey began at UT Austin’s RecSports, where early morning shifts and a shared love for working out brought us into each other’s lives.

Jasmine had already been working at RecSports for a while and was still there coaching F45 and training clients after graduation. Caroline was just stepping into a new role after recently being promoted. They started noticing each other during early morning shifts, exchanging quick hellos while grabbing the F45 key or passing each other in the hallway. At first, it did not seem like much. Over time, those small interactions evolved into genuine conversations and eventually led to time spent together outside of work.

What started as casual moments slowly grew into something more. Our first meal together was at Chick-fil-A, and from there, it evolved into In-N-Out runs, shared playlists, and lots of time spent laughing and figuring life out together. Over the next three years, our relationship continued to grow, filled with love, support, and a whole lot of quality time.

In May 2025, we took a trip to Japan, where Jasmine had planned to propose at the Hakone Shrine. We woke up early, made it to the Shinkansen station by 6:00am., and found out all the tickets were completely sold out. Trying not to panic, Jasmine scrambled to figure out a new plan and managed to get us tickets to Mt. Fuji instead. The earliest train did not leave until 12:30pm., which completely threw off our schedule. We passed the time finding things to do nearby and made sure to lock in our return tickets to Tokyo so we would not get stranded hours away.

Eventually, we made it to Fuji Q Highland, a theme park with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. We spent most of the afternoon in the Naruto section and even rode a Naruto-themed train to get there. After the park, we tried to find an observation deck for a good view, but had no luck. Jasmine kept quietly searching for backup locations to propose and arranged a taxi from Fuji Q to Chureito Pagoda to make sure we made it before sundown.

We hiked all the way up what felt like a million stairs to the top, only to find it packed with people. On the way back down, we stumbled across a quiet spot with a clear view of Mt. Fuji. It felt like everything finally clicked. That is where Jasmine proposed on May 4th (Star Wars Day).

Now we are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
