Here's my (Jasmine's) side of the story!

May 14, 2022 is a day that we'll always remember. I was watching sports in my apartment in Waco that Saturday afternoon when I got a notification that someone had matched with me on Hinge. My initial thought was "Is this guy going to ghost me? Or is he a robot? Who knows?" Thankfully I felt prompted to match back and we ended up chatting for the rest of the day.

We dated long distance (Jason in Rockwall, me in Waco) for about 8 months before I moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Jan 2023. While we were in separate cities, we constantly met in Waxahachie as a midway point to have dinner and go on dates (which is the reason why we're getting married here- it's a huge part of our story!)

To say we have learned a LOT about each other after I moved to DFW and seeing each other all the time is an understatement! But being able to grow closer to Jesus together and challenge each other to look more like him has been the greatest joy.

A couple months before I moved, we chatted about what a proposal would look like on the way back from dinner one night. I had envisioned him popping the question at the 50 yard line on the football field at his school and our friends and family watching from afar. Not only did Jason do all that, he had our song playing on the loud speakers AND live-streamed it for my parents and sisters to see! I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with a God-fearing and thoughtful man who constantly surprises and encourages me. Here's to our forever!
