Jasmine and Kenny met in July 2019, when they were both hired at Asociación Colegio Granadino, an international school in Manizales, Colombia.

As two of the four new hires, they started out as friends, bonding over their love for reading, food, and travel. They spent their first few months exploring their new home, hanging out together at school, around town, and in Spanish class (where Kenny tried his best to keep up with Jasmine).

On breaks, they would vacation together, traveling around Colombia and Peru, eventually finding their way into one another's hearts. When the pandemic hit, they cancelled their upcoming trip and spent the lockdown as a couple, enjoying Manizales and planning the next steps of their relationship in Connecticut.

On November 23rd, 2024, Kenny proposed while cutting their Christmas tree at Jones Family Farms in Shelton, where they work together each holiday season. They live in Hamden, CT, always planning their next adventure.
