October 24th, 2018 I gave Carlos my number. His very first message to me was Thank you for giving me the time of day. After that the rest was history. I found myself texting the next day as I was headed to California. It was like I had a elementary crush. We found ourselves Talking all day just getting to know each other, that turned into us falling asleep on the phone with each other every night. Thanksgiving weekend we laid eyes on each other in person for the first time. All I could do was blush and stare at his red braces. ( I wish he would get them back, I fell in love with them) December 15th Carlos planned the most perfect first date. He planned for us to go to the winery in St. Augustine to do a wine tasting, of course because I take forever to get ready, we missed the tour, instead we sat on the rooftop and talked. He was so creative with the questions he asked me but the one thing that I will always cherish about our first date is how he had us stare into each other's eyes for four minutes no talking. Just focusing in on each other, once it was over, he asked me what I saw, and I told him the rest of my life. Following the winery, we walked the city of lights, with dinner to follow. December 23rd, 2018, is the day two people decided to intentionally date. Thats the day I told Carlos I was ready to foul out meaning I wanted us to exclusively be together. Now all I did was tell him what I wanted, so the ball was in his court. I thinks its safe to say he understood what I was saying however, he loves telling people I asked him out. From that day on I knew I was spending the rest of my life with Carlos. It was also this day that I started planning our wedding. I was confident that this is what God had in store for the future. Sure enough through love, commitment, and faith we are here preparing to say I Do to one another.
