Small town boy and small town girl bump into each other at the local produce market and cans go flying…they scramble to pick up the rolling cans and reach for the same can. Instead of grabbing the can they accidentally bump heads and it was love at first sight…at least that’s how it happened in the dream.

DJ, originally from Fieldale, Virginia and Jasmine, originally from Pleasant Garden, North Carolina met on an online dating app (yes they actually work). It was Jasmine’s first time ever downloading a dating app and of course, the first girl DJ matched with was her. Needless to say, the dating accounts were inactive in less than a week.

The two began talking every single day and FaceTiming every night. However, the distance was a bit of a challenge. DJ would drive down to North Carolina every Saturday to spend time with Jasmine. The two toured Jasmine’s hometown in search of adventure, fun, and time to learn more about each other.

A few months passed and DJ found a new job in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was beyond exciting, and Jasmine loved watching him grow in his career. However, DJ was now twice the distance away. As Jasmine finished up her undergraduate degree, she drove to Charlotte every weekend to visit DJ. Once Jasmine graduated, she moved to Charlotte, so they could be closer.

They are now approaching three years of being together and chasing their dreams in the Queen City. DJ is working at a local TV station, diligently pursuing his career goals to work in the booth at live sporting events. Jasmine is a Registered Behavior Technician while attending graduate school to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Now, DJ and Jasmine spend their time exploring the city, trying various restaurants the city has to offer, and being parents to their dog Raven and their crested gecko, Roofus.

The both of them are overflowing with excitement to finally tie the knot and choose each other, every single day, for always and forever. They are thankful for all of the love, support, and prayers that have been extended by their family and friends. They wish nothing more than to reciprocate the same to each and every one of you, and they can’t wait to celebrate with you in September 2024!
