We met on the dating app, Bumble, and after a week of texting, we knew we had to meet in person. Our first date happened on a Sunday, thanks to a twist of fate—Jason had just lost out of a poker tournament, freeing up his evening. We went to Nara, a cozy sushi restaurant, and from the moment we sat down, the conversation flowed effortlessly. It was clear we would have a second date.
