Jason and Kaylee met through their mutual friends, Kyle and Rachel! Kaylee was spending time with Rachel when Jason and Kyle came back from some pigeon hunting. As a group, they decided to order some food and spend some more time hanging out. After that first night, Jason and Kaylee started chatting throughout the week. Kyle and Rachel invited Jason and Kaylee over again the next weekend, and they hit it off! After that weekend, they had their first date. Due to the pandemic, they spent time driving around and getting to know one another! It didn't take long until they made it official on May 3rd, 2020.
To celebrate their 4 year dating anniversary, the couple had planned a get away trip to the Apostle Islands. Little did Kaylee know, Jason had a trick up his sleeve for this trip! On May 18th, 2024 after hiking to see the hidden caves, the couple wandered down to the beach. Jason was sneaky and knew Kaylee enjoyed picking up a few (or bag full) of pretty rocks she finds. While looking at rocks, Jason knelt down on one knee and asked Kaylee if she would like to be his wife and spend the rest of their lives together. Those who know the couple well, know the obvious answer was YES and the rest is history (:
Over the last 4+ years, Jason and Kaylee have encountered many ups and downs, fun trips (lots of fishing), learning new things/hobbies, growing their relationships with God, creating stronger friendships, laughter, and most of all love. The couple has been blessed with families that display faithful, God fearing loving relationships for them to mimic!
