It all started on February 1st, 2023, with a simple need—an HDMI cable. Through a mutual friend, Shaun, Thelca met Jason, and while she was just looking for a cable, he instantly knew he had found his wife.

Intrigued and fascinated by him, Thelca agreed to a coffee date at Plato on February 11, where she quickly realized she liked him—a lot (and that was slightly terrifying). Just a few days later, on Valentine’s Day, Jason officially asked her to be his valentine, setting the tone for their love story.

Then came February 24—the night she heard him sing for the first time. That’s when she knew she was in real trouble. If God was in this, she was about to be very blessed with an anointed, talented, and incredibly handsome husband. That same night, she met his parents, and Jason wasted no time telling his dad that she was the one.

From there, their journey was full of beautiful moments—like a birthday trip to Cape Town, deep conversations, and endless laughter. On April 4, 2023, at a Vida Café in Shell Garage (yes, really), Jason asked her to be his girlfriend. His argument? "It’s not that deep, nothing is going to change." (Spoiler: a lot changed.)

Fast forward to August 31, 2024, and Jason pulled off the ultimate surprise proposal, completely outdoing his Shell Garage stunt. Without hesitation, Thelca said YES!
