Our Wedding

Our story began as a friendship, during a time when we were both learning, growing, and becoming more grounded in who we were and what we wanted. What started as easy conversation and shared laughter quickly turned into something deeper: a connection rooted in trust, comfort, and feeling genuinely understood. Before anything else, we built a friendship that felt steady and undeniable.~In the fall of 2023, Andy asked Jason to be his boyfriend, inside a bounce house at a family birthday party (a moment that still makes us smile, and feels perfectly on brand). From there, our life together unfolded with travel, endless laughs, deep friendships, and a shared commitment to showing up for one another. During this time, Jason completed his doctorate, with Andy offering constant encouragement, pride, and unwavering support.~Our families, big, loving, and wonderfully different, embraced each other wholeheartedly. The joyful chaos of the Gorskis blended with the steady traditions of the Wrobels, creating one extended family filled with love and just the right amount of noise. In February 2025, we purchased our first home together. Not long after, Andy asked Jason to marry him right out front. Particularly meaningful because we learned that the original owners of the home, over 100 years ago, had also gotten engaged in that very same spot. To make the moment even more full circle, the bounce house made a return.~Today, our home is our boho love shack; filled with warmth, creativity, laughter, and more than a little ADHD-fueled hyperfixation. It reflects who we are and how we love: built on friendship, chosen with intention, and rooted in deep connection.~Our story continues on September 19, 2026 when we make this love story our forever promise to one another. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.

Lauren is Jason’s best friend and chosen family. They met in college and have shared the same soul ever since, building a friendship rooted in unwavering loyalty, deep understanding, and constant support. She has stood beside Jason through every chapter, and Jason was honored to stand beside her as her Man of Honor. There is no one more deserving of this role.

Mary Kate is Andy’s best friend of over two decades. They met at a lunch table in middle school and have been each other’s chosen family ever since. She has seen Andy through all of life’s twists and turns and has always been a pillar of support—as well as a much-needed dose of reality. There is no one else Andy would want by his side.

Jonathan & Matt they have become true family. Countless weekends, shared trips, and everyday moments have turned their bond into something deeply rooted and irreplaceable. Their home-away-from-home presence, weirdness, and love have been a constant source of joy. Life simply feels fuller with them in it.

Adana and Jason often joke that they share the same brain most of the time. A fellow Sagittarius and lifelong hype woman, she has been a constant source of encouragement, laughter, and grounding energy. Her presence brings confidence, honesty, and warmth into every space she enters. Jason wouldn’t want to celebrate this moment without her by his side, to ground him.

Austen and Jason met less than two years ago, yet their friendship grew at an incredible pace. What began as instant laughter turned into a connection filled with chaos, humor, and genuine care. Austen brings lightness, loyalty, and nonstop fun to Jason’s life. Their bond is proof that some friendships are simply meant to find you when the timing is right.

James has been one of Andy’s best friends since college. Often considered his partner in crime, Andy could always count on him to get him out of trouble—even if James got him into that trouble to begin with. Even now, while living on opposite coasts, they maintain a lifelong friendship built on laughter, support, and a little bit of Bravo-esque drama.

Brad and Andy met shortly after they both graduated from college. As two theater gays, their friendship has been an endless show worthy of a Tony Award. Their friendship tour has included everything from late nights in Vegas to Jim’s Steakout on Elmwood. Andy is thrilled to have Brad as a lifelong friend.

Jason's best friend since elementary school. Alyssa and Jason have been friends through every stage of each other's lives, and Jason cannot imagine having this special day without her by his side.

Chris and Andy have known each other for years in Connecticut. Chris has been an amazing friend, caring companion, co-conspirator in desserts & sweets, and an honest voice of reason (which Andy sometimes needs). His moral compass is unmatched by anyone in Andy’s life. And, with the exception of being a bit accident-prone, Andy would trust Chris with his life.

Jason's sister, Amanda, and Andy's sister, Janine that are closest in age to them and will officiate the wedding together. Bringing middle child energy to unite the couple in the most special way.

Jason’s sisters, Jess and Kris, hold a special place in his life, each shaping him in different but equally meaningful ways. Jess, his oldest sister, has guided and challenged him, helping him grow through every stage of life, while Kris shares with him a deep emotional connection rooted in sensitivity, intuition, and understanding. Together, they represent love, strength, and the family foundation that continues to carry him forward — making them the perfect Something Blue.

Andy is honored to have his elder sister, Julie, and his eldest niece, Hailey, hold this special part of the wedding as his Something Blues. Hailey has had the joy of watching him grow into the person he is today, and Julie has always provided the steadfast guidance one would expect from a firstborn sister (Nintendo paddle hostage story lovingly excluded).

The elder nieces will be bringing with them the marriage license, something old, and something new for the couple. And being in charge of wrangling the younger crew members.

Our Flower Crew will scatter petals and setting the tone for the joy to come. With their big personalities and even bigger hearts, they’ll bring just the right amount of sweetness (and sparkle) to our day.

Our Ring Bearers may be small in size, but they carry a very big job . Whether they march proudly or wander adorably down the aisle, they’ll deliver the rings with pride and cuteness.
