The story of Jason and Gabrielle began on September 30th, 2016. The two had matched on Bumble earlier in the week and were excited to meet finally. Despite the excitement, Gabrielle was not prepared. She had just finished a long week of teaching and wasn't in the mood for small talk. She had decided she wasn't changing out of her teaching clothes into a more date-appropriate outfit. Instead, she spent that time she did have, drinking two glasses of wine before the date. Wine always put Gab in the talking mood.
When Jason picked her up, he immediately got out of the car to greet her. As she would later find out, he wanted to kiss her right then and there (thankfully, he waited until the date was over, lol). The two decided to go to Elm City Social, where they chatted for hours over Rubber Duckies. It was at this moment their connection deepened as they found common interests in spirituality, books, and True Crime documentaries.
It went so well that they ended up at Geronimo's, where Jason tried to play cool guy, nearly dying eating a jalapeño. They continued to talk for hours, and it was pretty much history after that. They've been talking every day since.
Not long after, they adopted a kitten, now infamously known as Nala, Nals, Nallie Wallie, or Lil Buddy. They considered moving to many different places, including Colorado and Boston, but settled on Rhode Island. However, Connecticut couldn't keep them away, and they purchased their first home together in October 2020.
Less than a year later, on a hot, humid day in Narragansett, Rhode Island, Jason decided to ask Gabrielle to be his wife. On July 18th, 2021, Jason told Gabrielle they were going on a sailboating trip. Gabrielle, familiar with Narragansett Bay, was skeptical when he started driving towards Roger Wheeler beach rather than the docks. After a short walk along the beach, they came across a beautiful picnic, and Jason got down on one knee. He took his time to speak the words in his heart before proposing. The two spent the next two hours in pure bliss, enjoying the moment before returning to reality.
Over the past seven years, Jason and Gabrielle's relationship has grown. What used to be two young kids in love has morphed into a new family of their own. They value family, adventure, game nights, intellectual conversation, and their careers. Jason and Gabrielle have learned to love each other for exactly who they are as they continue to support each other's growth and development.
With that, they have worked intentionally to create a day that was perfectly them. From the atmosphere to the graphics, Jason and Gabrielle's wedding day will be an invitation into their little life together. They hope you can come and enjoy the joy of this new family - the Lima's.
