Casey and Jason met while working in the same restaurant. He was a greasy, sweaty line cook and she was a frustrated server. At first, neither of them liked each other much. Jason thought Casey's laugh was annoying and Casey didn't even realize that Jason had been in her orientation group.

After some time working together the two began to hang out through their mutual friends in the restaurant and while they would go and grab a few drinks, they never really became friends themselves. Jason eventually left to study abroad and Italy and Casey didn't think she would see him again. They didn't talk when he was in Italy and he wasn't planning on coming back to work at the restaurant. Despite all that, Jason, perhaps drawn back by Casey's charm and wit, came back to work.

Casey and Jason became fast friends after his return, setting up game nights every Monday night with their friends Ty, Martin, and Shan and Jason's older brother Brian. What started with a game of monopoly ended with love as Casey and Jason danced around their attraction to each other, and tortured their friends with what was obviously fated to end as a relationship.

The time finally came and Casey asked Jason out on an official date. The two suffered through a very awkward lunch and beach day and were left wondering if they had made the right decision. True to form, however, the two just couldn't stay away from one another and to probably nobody's surprise, they officially got together.

Casey quickly integrated herself into Jason's life and after a short stint of Casey spending almost all her time at Jason's home they moved in together with Casey's cat Herbie. Shortly after they got another cat Moe, and Jason started thinking about making their family official.

Jason proposed to Casey at an apple orchard on a beautiful fall day. After picking her up to reach a particularly deliciously looking apple at the top of the tree, he got down on one knee and of course Casey said yes.
