Up on a mountain in Oregon, there's a tiny village called Government Camp. One summer, before my brother Alex's wedding, I went up to work and play in the sun and enjoy the mountain air. A few years later, after many adventures, I fell for one of his best friends, Jason.

Jason and I are not a stereotypical couple. He grew up playing sports outside and using pagers, I grew up playing my Wii and texting on my iPhone.

The two of us compliment each other. Jason is very hot headed and impulsive (surprising no one who knows him) and I am calmer and think things through more (probably over think things too, but who's keeping track). He gets me out of my comfort zone and try new things, and I try to help him slow down and appreciate the little things. We both encourage each other to push ourselves to complete our goals and be better than we were.

We have had an amazing journey together. We've traveled to new places, changed careers, even bought a new house in a new city! Every step of the way, the good times and the bad, we've had each other.

And now we are ready to take this next step in our journey together.
