The story of Jason and Dienna began many, many years ago. Actually, it goes all the way back before they were even born!

Back in Romania, Zorina (Dienna's mom) lived in Oradea, where she was taught Mandolin by Dan's (Jason's dad) sister (we told you this story goes way back!).

When Zorina moved to the states in 1987, she met Simona (Jason's mom) while she lived in Sacramento, California for almost 7 years. She even went to Dan and Simona's wedding and they remained friends after Zorina moved to Los Angeles in 1994.

Thankfully, facebook helped the two families stay in touch over the years. Dienna would hear about Jason through her mom, and the two knew of each other for years but hadn't officially met until 2018 at The Summit youth camp in Big Bear, CA.

Jason and Dienna connected through Instagram, messaging each other here and there but it wasn't until Labor Day weekend of 2019 where they got to know each other a bit more. Jason came to SoCal with a group of friends and asked Dienna if she wanted to join them in San Diego for a day. They ended up hanging out in a group together the entire weekend.

After that weekend, Jason always reached out to Dienna to get a group together to hang out whenever he came into town. So they became good friends as time went on, getting to spend more time around each other in group settings. They continued to see each other at youth events, conferences, and retreats.

Meanwhile, they prayed for their future spouse, despite having no idea that they were right in front of each other! For almost 2 years, it was right person but wrong timing.

It wasn't until October 17, 2020 when Jason finally made a move and asked Dienna out on a date at a united bonfire at Huntington Beach, CA. Obviously, she said yes!

They went on their first date the following week at San Clemente, CA, where they spent almost 12 hours talking about life, sharing pizza on the beach, and enjoying each other's company.

After several months of prayer and fasting, Jason eventually asked Dienna to be his wife on March 26, 2021 at the same place they had their first date.

And now they're here, just a few months away from their wedding day- the day both Jason and Dienna prayed for their entire lives. They thank God for His faithfulness as they wait for their special day in October!
