We met in 2023 after Hailee’s roommate at the time introduced us to each other. We became best of friends instantly and always had a blast together. A couple months go by and Hailee finally allowed Jay to take her on a true date.
We connected through the love of Jesus and attending church which we started to do together. Beyond only seeing each other on the weekends we’ve been on many adventures and trips all over the US. We both enjoy UND hockey and NHL hockey games together, we love to play board games and overall just be in each other presence.
Unfortunately Hailee was leaving to go to clinicals in Jamestown at the end of the semester. This is where the long distance relationship started and still continues today. We stuck through it even though it was extremely hard at first but got easier as time went on. Lots of 3 hour trips were made on the weekends because of our commitment to each other. We embraced the long trips and earlier mornings for each other. Through it all we have still found so much love for each other.
Today Jay is finishing up school to become a commercial pilot and has plans to move to Fargo ND as soon as he’s done. Hailee is a Medical Laboratory Scientist working in 3 specialty labs at Sanford in Fargo.
