OUR STORY

Edel and Jay met at the Lane Cafe in Galway on 28 April 2016 to determine whether tea or coffee were the superior caffeinated beverage - upon realising the debate would end in a perpetual stalemate, a cafe date turned into a pizza date, followed by drinks, followed by Jay being utterly clueless as to how well the date went (Spoiler: it went rather well).

Adventure after adventure ensued - the pair met each other's families (and dogs!), and after bringing Barry's tea to America, Edel and Jay moved in together in 2017. From the US to London to Spain and back to Ireland again and again, the pair has been there for each other through thick and thin, good times and bad, and had each others' backs through all the trials and tribulations life has thrown their way.

Finally, after six years together, Jay plucked up the courage to ask Edel to spend forever together, and bought a ring. On 28 May 2022, Jay proposed near the Wishing Bridge in the Gap of Dunloe in Killarney, Co. Kerry, and when Edel said yes, their next adventure began!

We cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with you in September 2025, and hope to see you in Westport as our next chapter begins!
