Our Wedding

Kasey and Jay met when they were in the 5th grade, although living just 5 minutes away from each other! Kasey transferred elementary schools to Dynard where Jay likes to think he dominated the soccer field at recess since Pre-K. If you ask Kasey, Jay was somewhat of a bully when she first met him. Others will say it was just Jay flirting, guess now we can confirm it was the latter! Time moves on, and although Jay and Kasey still continued through middle school with each other, they did not start "dating" until the 8th grade. Jay still thinks you can't really "date" until high school, but good luck persuading Kasey their anniversary doesn't stem back to the 8th grade. Both Jay and Kasey were highly competitive with sports. One early example of this is where they both participated in an after school basketball program at Margaret Brent. It was here where Jay finally gained the courage to ask Kasey to "date" him, although there was a catch. Jay approached Kasey and said, "If you make this three point shot over my arm I will ask you out". To Jay's surprise, not only did Kasey make the shot first try, she immediately ran away following the swish of the basket, leaving Jay standing lonesome on the court. Luckily for Jay, Kasey approached him the next day at school and said, "Yes, I would love to date you." Following this, the rest is history. The two dated throughout high school where not only were they part of the Homecoming Court multiple years, but they were also the school's prom King and Queen their senior year. The two went on to continue their relationship throughout college where they went to different schools. Luckily for Jay, Kasey was willing to sit in the freezing cold during February to watch all of his college baseball games. LUCKILY FOR KASEY, Jay was always there every step of the way to help her navigate her computer and proofread her Shakespearian quality essays for nursing school! (If you know Kasey you will understand:) The two now live together in an apartment in Pasadena, MD where Kasey is a full time nurse in Annapolis, MD and Jay is finishing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in Baltimore. Jay and Kasey have met many wonderful people throughout their journey, specifically those of you who are reading this, and would love to demonstrate their love in front of you all on September 21, 2024. Looking forward to seeing you all in attendance!
