Tyler and Jayci met at the beginning of nursing school during their first semester white coat ceremony. They sat two seats apart and had their first conversation that day, with many to follow. They crossed paths often around campus and usually shared a smile and a conversation. Through a mutual friend Jayci obtained Tyler’s contact information and their relationship grew from there. After a few missed dates due to crazy work, school, and life schedules, Tyler decided to make a 2 hour trip to Wylie Texas to meet Jayci and take her on a date. On that day Tyler, Jayci, and Willow (Jayci’s Golden doodle) went to Torchy’s Tacos in Rockwall Texas. The first date was perfect. It started at Torchy’s where they shared a meal, then went to their car and talked for four hours. There they discovered a shared passion for helping others and nursing. The conversation smoothly transitioned into their dreams, aspirations, God, and the life they hoped to build. In that moment Tyler asked Jayci on another date. Throughout the rigors of nursing school, their bond grew stronger. They supported each other through grueling courses and exams, celebrating each milestone achieved, and found solace in their shared journey. Tyler and Jayci became inseparable, finding comfort and motivation in each others presence. Probably a little bit of competition as well. Their shared desire to help others and unwavering support for one another made them a perfect team. Life moved fast and before they knew it, school was over and Tyler asked Jayci to marry him. They adopted a new dog named Brinx, and landed jobs at UT Health in Tyler. Now they stand in the forefront of a new journey; sharing the experience as one.
