We met in January 2021, on a hike at Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. It was a last minute thing that Cameron (Jayd's cousin and one of Jordan's best mates) organised. Little did we know that this "matchmaker" and his parents (Disey and Neil) - who Jayd lived with at the time- really wanted to play a part in setting us up (clearly they were sick of Jayd being single AF), needless to say, we hit it off straight away and can honestly say without a doubt, that it was love at first sight for us both.

Many coffee dates and attempted running dates later *attempts by Jordan and running by Jayd * led to a "Will you be my girlfriend" kinda love. We have been inseparable since then and moved in together in January 2023 for our "This shit is getting real" phase :)

On 6 March 2024, on our three year anniversary getaway to the bush - and on a guided walk in the wild - our favorite type of holidays, incase that wasn't obvious already to all who know us - our relationship turned into a "Will you marry me and spend forever with me" kinda vibe :)

We have become each others best friends, the person we constantly seek out for advice, understanding, compassion, love, honesty, loyalty and trust.

Through each other, we have gained an extra big family unit of all our loved ones combined, and we have also gained new beautiful friendships with all of you wonderful humans we have invited to join us as we become Mr. and Mrs. Baptie!

No relationship is all sunshine, but we are just two people who will share one umbrella and survive the storms together always!
