We have rooms blocked off at our reception location, Element Moab available to book. If you need a room please book within 30 days of the wedding. July 30th 2024. Mention you are a guest at the Dowd wedding being held in August when you call ♡ +1 (435) 222-9790 The Moab Area Transit runs in town until 9pm, if you need a ride home after the reception we ask you use their services and come pick your car back up the next day.

Wear whatever is comfortable! The ceremony will be outside. Our wedding is very colorful and described as a garden / semi casual, the weather will be beautiful on the mountain so dress shirts, skirts and dresses are perfect. The reception is definitely more laid back! We’ve decided to give everyone a few hours in between the ceremony and the reception to go home, change if you’d like, feed your animals etc. We’re dining and dancing the night away so wear your dancing shoes!

At the reception we’ll be serving pulled brisket and pork sandwiches, with baked potatoes, baked beans, and a salad bar. Following with a cheesecake desert bar. We have an open bar from 5-7. We ask that no other alcohol be brought in per the Elements rules.

The QR code found on your invitation will bring you to the parking designated for our guests, wait at the parking lot for our shuttle crew will bring you to the ceremony and back to your car once we’re concluded. We will have waters and refreshments at the cabin, there will be no alcohol at the ceremony. Please carpool as much as possible.

Your attendance to our big day is the best gift we can receive! However if you decide to bring a gift it would be easiest to bring it to the reception, we also have a honeymoon fund and an Amazon registry set up on this website you can find under the registry tab.

We ask only those that are invited attend, names are listen on your invitations, example; “your name & family” means we’re expecting you, your partner and kids, “your name & your partners name” means you and whoever is listed is invited. Children are invited and attending the wedding, the reception is optional, if you’re staying at the hotel we have access to the pool until 11pm if you want to give the kids something to do! Please just don’t leave them unattended.

The bride will be walking down the aisle at 1:45, please arrive 15 minutes before 1pm so everyone can be shuttled in at seated.

We ask you keep your phone off and put away during the ceremony. We’ve paid a photographer to take pictures of us and everyone attending, please do not post our wedding on social media before we get a chance to.
