Connor and Jayla were set up by a mutual friend in "A school". They added each other on snapchat and planned to have their first date that following Friday. Following the very awkward first date they met up on the base pier and went on a few more dates throughout their time there. A few weeks later they decided that they wanted to officially be in a relationship but wondered how it would work if it were to be long distance. They discussed the concern and found out that they were to be stationed at the same duty station (NAS Lemoore). From there on out it was set in stone that their relationship would hold a fighting chance. They moved to their new duty station a few short weeks later and their relationship continued to blossom. They decided 8 months later that they wanted to be married (and not just for the benefits). They then eloped May 20th of 2022. In August of 2022 Jayla fell pregnant with a baby girl. The two were absolutely elated to be able to officially start a family. In April of 2023 they were blessed with a beautiful little bundle of joy (Maeve Rose-Marie Bailie). This brought the couple closer than ever and they decided that they would want more children in the near future. Connor was ramping up to leave for an 8 month long deployment in January of the following year, but not 6 days before he left they found out that they were to have another baby in September! Jayla continued working and taking care of Maeve while pregnant during this deployment. Connor on the other hand worked hard to serve our country while trying to stay as involved as possible in Jayla and Maeve lives from all different exotic countries and the vast ocean. Deployment was hard on the both of them but they percervered and Connor was home a few short weeks after the birth of their second daughter, Brynn Marina Bailie. The happy couple is now ready to showcase their love in front of beloved friends and family and finally have the wedding of their dreams.
