Micah, nor myself were interested in having a relationship, but somewhere down the line we changed our minds, clearly.

We’ve known each other since high school. We somehow always ended up in the same friend groups, hanging out at the same places, and bumping into each other here and there. We both tried our best to act uninterested in the other, but there was no denying that we were both excited to be around one another, talk in class, and hang out whenever we could. On January 1st 2019, Micah finally asked me to be his girlfriend.

He sealed the deal in April of 2023, but not quite like I expected. I knew it was coming, but I was thinking a proposal would happen at the beach that summer. But, just like our unexpected dating, he unexpectedly popped the question at Disney World in front of Cinderella’s Castle. It was the most wonderful surprise. I couldn’t believe how Pinterest perfect the ring was. I had no doubt he would get it right, but he blew my expectations out of the water.

Neither of us expected our story to end up the way it has, but the best things in life truly are unexpected.

We’ve spent the last 5 years growing up with each other. We can’t wait for our big day and to watch God’s Will play out in our day to day lives!
