Lafayette Square

- Polite Society (upscale restaurant)

-Planter's House (cocktail bar- location of our first date and where Eric proposed)

-Clementine's (ice cream)


Soulard (the Mardi Gras neighborhood)

- many walkable pubs and restaurants including our favorites: McGurk's Irish Pub and Garden, Session Taco, and Pizzeoli Wood Fired Pizza

-Anheuser-Busch Brewery

-Soulard Farmers Market (8am-5pm Saturday)

- Vincent's Market (Grocery Store)


Benton Park/Cherokee St.

- Verde (ceremony location)

- Peacemaker Seafood (they fly it in fresh daily!)

- Antique row (antique shops)

- Lemp Mansion (haunted bar and restaurant)

-The Mud House (coffee shop)

-The Whiskey Ring (featured in a Pokey LaFarge music video)

-Taqueria El Bronco


Tower Grove

-Botanical Gardens (wedding reception)

- many international restaurants are located off Grand St.

- Rooster (amazing brunch spot)

- Tower Grove park

- Fiddlehead Fern Cafe

-Ice's Plain & Fancy (boozy ice cream shop)


The Grove (LGBT neighborhood)

- Songbird (brunch spot)

-many walkable bars off Manchester, including the Gramophone (awesome sandwiches) & Urban Chestnut Brewery and Bierhall

Midtown

- the Foundry (small shops/boutiques, the Alamo movie theater, food court and grocery store, all in one location)

- IKEA

- Golden Gems (boutique) and the Hidden Gem (bar)


Central West End

-Narwhal's Crafted (frozen cocktails)

-The Basilica

-The DoubleTree Hotel

-Yellowbelly (one of our favorite cocktail bars)


Forest Park

-Zoo (free!)

-Art Museum (free!)

-Missouri History Museum (free!)

-St. Louis Science Center (free but pay to park)

-the Cheshire (our favorite hotel)-- if you're not staying there, consider visiting the bar (Fox and Hounds) or the restaurant (Basso)

-Hi-Pointe Drive In (cheap movie theater)


The Loop/Delmar Blvd. (shopping, restaurants)

-Salt + Smoke (owned by our neighbor!)

-Blueberry Hill (landmark restaurant)

The Hill (the Italian district--- closed Sundays)
