Simon and Jazmine met on March 10, 2019 at a college party in Santa Cruz. Jazmine went to the party with some of her friends and Simon went with his fraternity big. She had first approached him when noticing he was eating top ramen out of a pot rather than having a drink in his hand. Her first sentence to him was, "Where the hell did you get ramen at a party?"

From the moment they met, Simon and Jazmine became inseparable friends. They spent the entirety of finals week studying together at the McHenry Library at UCSC. Simon would bring Jazmine study food and snacks. On April 25, 2019, they went to see Party Favor at the Catalyst, and it was there where Jazmine asked Simon to be her boyfriend.

Jazmine and Simon spent their first Christmas together in 2019, thus beginning all of their annual holiday traditions which continue to this day.

Jazmine and Simon spent their one year anniversary in 2020 at the start of COVID. At the peak of quarantine, they spent their anniversary with an at home steak dinner.

Simon and Jazmine graduated college at UCSC in 2021. Simon graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Technology Information Management with a minor in Computer Engineering, and Jazmine graduated with highest honors in her major with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

As a celebration to graduating college and beginning their careers, Jazmine and Simon took their first real vacation together to Disneyland in 2021!

Jazmine and Simon moved in together in 2022 and started their roots in Santa Clara. They became accustomed to each other's lifestyles and learned how to live and grow with one another.

One of Simon's favorite hobbies is snowboarding, and he had asked Jazmine for years to learn and come with him. Jazmine finally gave in after four years of dating and first learned how to ski on February 18, 2023. It was a true test of their relationship, filled with both the worst and best of times. They've been a ski couple ever since!

Jazmine and Simon's relationship crossed new boundaries (literally) with their first international vacation in May 2023! Simon and Jazmine traveled to Cancun, Mexico, with Jazmine's family to celebrate her parents' 25th wedding anniversary.

On August 11, 2023, Simon and Jazmine (sort of) tied the knot by becoming registered domestic partners! On this day, while at work, Jazmine texted Simon, "Should we go become domestic partners?" and he replied, "Sure." They submitted their paperwork that day at the Santa Clara UPS. They celebrated by eating dinner at Yard House.

In December 2023, Simon and Jazmine's family took a joint vacation to Lake Tahoe. On December 3rd, Jazmine woke up at their Lake Tahoe airbnb to a dress, shoes, and coat laid next to a scrapbook originally made on their first anniversary. Simon had updated the scrapbook with their adventures and milestones over the years and left instructions for Jazmine to get ready and meet him at Zephyr Cove, Nevada. With butterflies in her stomach and her heart racing, Jazmine got ready and went to the location. When she arrived, she was greeted by her family and friends on the shore by the lake who directed her to a man at the edge of the lake. Jazmine walked up to see rose petals shaped as a heart, beautiful lights, and the love of her life standing in the center. After a heartfelt speech, Simon got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?"
