In the fall of 2013, Sunnie met Jazmyne during a cheerleading practice at Roosevelt High School, where Jazmyne's coaching was guided by Sunnie's older sister, Janelle. An instant friendship blossomed from a single conversation during that encounter. Over the years, Sunnie and Jaz maintained a close and communicative bond, so much so that Jazmyne became Sunnie's prom date. (depicted in the photo above).

Following their paths diverging after high school graduation, the two friends unexpectedly reconnected during the pandemic. Their reunion unfolded as they came together to pay respects to a departed friend, turning a solemn occasion into a poignant chapter of renewed friendship and love.

Following their rekindled connection, Sunnie and Jaz became inseparable. Sunnie's dedication was evident as he would frequently drive to Waldorf at any hour to spend time with Jaz. This commitment allowed the couple to delve deeper into their relationship, exploring new hobbies, sampling diverse cuisines, and embarking on extended travels together for weeks at a time.

One evening, as Jaz and Sunnie jumped into wedding plans, a thought struck them – the idea of embracing simplicity and intimacy. With Jaz's long-standing desire to elope or have a small wedding and both of them sharing a deep and genuine love, it felt like the perfect choice for them. They decided to gather the essential individuals who played pivotal roles in shaping their love story to witness their union. Following this intimate ceremony, they ensured that their joy rippled through their village by organizing not just one, but two celebrations. One in the fall in Annapolis, MD and in the summer of 2025, they plan to throw a grand celebration and embark on a family and friends moon, doubling the joy with their cherished village.
