First Date

J-After meeting on two dating apps, some banter back and forth and an exchange of numbers, we decided to meet at a swanky rooftop bar in Raleigh. I sent Alexander a flirty text saying "Get ready for your life to change forever." *insert crickets chirping* 5 minutes pass..... 20 minutes pass... 50 minutes ... I'm getting dressed thinking 'God, I screwed this up before it even began'. I had to think of something to redeem myself. "JK :)" I sent.He responded pretty quickly, "Had to make you sweat a little".I was intrigued. A- My phone pinged and I had a text message from Jazzmine that read "Get ready for your life to change forever." "Play it cool" I thought to myself. "Just let her sweat for a minute." Sure enough after about an hour I get the "Jk :)" text and I knew this was going to be a fun evening. I chose a strategic location at the bar facing the elevators so I could see everyone entering the room, ordered her a glass of red wine and a rum and coke for myself, and waited. I remember her her getting out of the elevator as if it were a dream. The lights were dim and the elevator doors opened slowly. Fog poured out of the doors as a beautiful figure appeared. My eyes widened as the light hit her skin and she radiated with the majesty of a thousand suns. "No way is that her" I thought, "NO way." But as luck would have it, this beautiful being slowly approached me and with the voice of an angel uttered "Alex?" I don't remember much else about that night but I knew I wanted to see her again. And see her again I did.
