Our Wedding

On a summer Sunday morning, Baylee walked into Lifepoint church to visit some old friends and was promptly dragged through the church by the lovely Christine Gardner to JD, who she was told she HAD to meet. For the next 3 months, we would grow to be good friends, and in October JD finally decided to ask Baylee on a date. Though neither one had expected it, we realized pretty quickly that this was something special. By the time March rolled around, JD had bought a ring and planned out a sneaky proposal with the help of our good friend, Maj Lewis. He proposed on the top of Mt Ascension in early June and we began planning out a wedding for the following May. Unfortunately, Baylee's impending move to Minneapolis to begin her postdoctoral fellowship would separate them for the next 2 years. After a lot of back-and-forth and some wise counsel from good friends, we decided to elope! Being separated would be hard enough and we had no desire to make it any more painful than it needed to be. So on July 25, 2024 we gathered with our parents and got married. It has been a truly unique start to our marriage. We have no regrets about eloping but couldn't imagine not celebrating the start of our lives together without the many people who have supported us over the years and helped us become the people who we are today. We are so grateful for our incredible communities and cannot wait to see you all in May for a celebration of our marriage!

Our Wedding Celebration venue is located in beautiful East Helena, MT. You can put LifePoint Church or “2526 Lake Helena Dr.”into your navigation to get directions.   If traveling from out of state, your best bet is to fly into Bozeman International airport or Helena airport.

Travel

Montana is full of fun activities to do while you enjoy a weekend in the mountains! Both Bozeman and Helena have plenty of hiking, fishing, and food to enjoy. If you're staying in Bozeman you are also pretty close to Yellowstone National Park. May in Montana can be a bit unpredictable as far as weather so be sure to check if you need sweaters or T-shirts before flying out!
