I was sitting with friends and I heard my favorite song play. It was by an up-and-coming artist, so it was unexpected that anyone else would know his music. To the room I asked who played this song. James smiled and raised his hand across the room. The song was “Making Me Look Good Again” by Drake White. This was the first of many conversations about our shared love of music. We found ourselves at the same live music events, often sitting together with friends.

Our friendship grew and we found we had so much more in common. While we both had fervently insisted we were not in the market for a relationship, we eventually realized we were truly happy in each other’s company.
