Is there a dress code?
If we HAD to choose a dress code, it would be cocktail-formal attire. For the women attending: this includes floor, midi, and formal short dresses with comfortable heels or flats. For the men attending: a suit and tie (or go for the no tie look!) Please, no jeans or casual wear.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00. Guests will be welcomed into ceremony space starting at 3:15. Please arrive no later than 3:45.
Can I bring my children to the wedding?
As much as we love kids and would love to accommodate them, the only little ones invited are our own nieces and nephews. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving your kids at home so you can celebrate with us carefree and child free!
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget and because of capacity limitations at our venue. We both come from very big families, so therefore we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If your invitation is addressed with “and Guest” then yes! If not, we ask that it’s just you.
Can I take pictures?
Please do, but after the ceremony! We are asking our ceremony to be completely unplugged (all cell phones and cameras put away and cell phones on silent or turned off). This so that all guests can be 100% present with us during the ceremony. We have hired the most amazing photographers and videographers to capture our whole day. After the ceremony, please take all the pictures and videos and post them all over! We can't wait to see the photos you take on our special day during the cocktail hour and reception!
Is it inside or outside?
Our ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) in front of the waterfall and spring house. The cocktail hour will take place inside and also outside in the terrace space. The reception will take place in the “Paradise Ballroom” which is the largest and most historic ballroom (dating back to the 1700’s) Kings Mills offers.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! If you plan on taking advantage of the open bar, please ensure you have arrangements in place for your safety. The drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you - get ready to celebrate!
If I stay at the hotel, will there be transportation provided to the venue?
No. If you are staying at the hotel, it is a short drive away by personal vehicle or by Uber!
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by April 15th. Anyone who doesn’t RSVP by this date will be put down as a “No”
Is there a wedding registry?
Yes, we are registered at Amazon, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, and Etsy.
After Party?
If you would like to continue the party with us we will be at Barnaby’s Aston across the street. This time is casual, change into your comfy clothes and join us for the rest of the night!
