Our Wedding

Back in 2015, fate placed us next to each other in our high school Spanish class. We started to talk more once we realized we were also on the track team together. This led to our first date on May 9, 2015 to see the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. After a weekend of butterflies and a big cheesy smile that wouldn't leave my face, Will asked me to be his girlfriend. We have been absolutely inseparable since then. We continued to do long distance dating while Will went off to college and I finished high school and then college and graduate school as well. Some of our favorite things we have done over the years include hiking with our dog, Bean, skydiving, and having game nights with our amazing friends over the weekends. We have spent the last ten years growing and learning together as humans and in our love for each other. There have been so many amazing adventures along our Wonderful Journey (W&amp;J in case you haven't caught that) and we cannot wait for the many more to come!

Our Wonderful Journey

We had both been waiting for this day for so long and it was absolutely perfect! Will and I have had some of our absolute favorite dates at Sweetwater Creek State Park, so when Will offered to take me to Sweetwater for a "Paint &amp; Sip" date he knew I wouldn't turn it down. I mean all my favorite things...Will, the park, painting, and wine all bundled into one night?...Perfect! It did seem a little weird as we were going to the park (outside) in December when Will hates the cold, but I was keeping the "told ya so" for when we got there and he realized it was absolutely freezing. He was such a good sport as we painted and sipped on some wine with a beautiful view of the sunset over the lake. After painting and becoming a little chilly, we walked our way down the road to a beautiful area with a display of candles, rose petals, and Marry Me spelled out. Will got down on one knee and pulled out a sparkly Cinderella carriage case that had a BEAUTIFUL ring in it. I was in absolute shock as he asked me to marry him and, of course, I said YES! I thought this was all the night consisted of as we were heading to dinner and my heart was already pounding out of my chest, but of course as we walked into the restaurant I was greeted with a huge group of smiling family and friends. It was such a surprise and so amazing to see that everyone had come together to celebrate with us. It was the perfect night with all the perfect people! A special thanks to my William, Kaylor, Dee, and all the helping hands that worked to make this night a dream come true for us.

Kaylor and Jeannie met at the University of Georgia in 2017 and were roommates for the majority of their college years. They enjoy catching up over margaritas, throwing parties for everything, and traveling with the boys when they get a couple free minutes. Jeannie is beyond honored to have her soul sister stand by her side on this special day!

Steven is Will's cousin. They enjoy spending time together at family events and meeting up to play basketball at the park.

Katie is Jeannie's loving big sister. She showed Jeannie the ropes throughout their childhood and always knew what to do. They love going on sushi dates and hiking with Bean and Max together.

Ashley (Ash) is Jeannie's kind little sister. Ash, being the baby of a team of three, took the risks and brought out the fun in all of us. Jeannie and Ash love swimming and playing games together.

Dee is Will's big sister so, of course, Jeannie and Dee met through Will. Jeannie loves spending time and playing card games with Dee and the babies at many family events. Jeannie cannot wait to have Dee be part of the big day and become her sister-in-law.

Jeannie and Erika became friends in 2nd grade and continued to do as much as they could together over the years. She was also on the track team with Will & Jeannie. Erika was one of the first people to say that Jeannie should go on a date with Will and we all see how that ended up ;). Erika and Jeannie love to go on drives for jam sessions, night swim at mom's house, and bake all kinds of tasty treats.

Elizabeth and Jeannie have known each other since birth. They grew up across the street from one another and therefore did everything together from sports, to school, to vacations. They enjoy going out to eat together, doing spontaneous activities, and throwing game nights with friends.

Dontae and Will became friends at Middle Georgia University. They were roommates and spent a lot of their time at the rec center playing basketball. They enjoy competing against one another in card games and beer pong at every game night.

Darian and Will have been friends since high school. They enjoy hiking, playing the video game, and going out for Mexican together.

DJ and Will became friends by Dee introducing them to one another. They enjoy playing sports and spending time on the video game together. DJ and Will are also known for running the pong table at game nights.

Greg and Will met in high school. They were on the track team together in high school and then went on to be roommates for a handful of years afterwards. They enjoy pool days and game nights with friends.

Yan and Will met through Jeannie and Kaylor. They ended up hanging out together as they both visited Jeannie and Kaylor in Athens and then became roommates as well. They enjoy playing basketball, playing the video game, and going out in ATL.
