When is the RSVP deadline?
To provide an accurate headcount to our venue and catering vendors, our RSVP deadline is May 24.
Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?
Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the same location: the Semple Mansion, located just five minutes from downtown Minneapolis. We cannot wait to celebrate with you in this beautiful space!
What is the address of Semple Mansion?
100 W Franklin Ave,
Minneapolis, MN
55404
Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors? What about the reception?
Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.
Are children welcome?
While we love all of the littles in our lives, we have decided to keep our wedding ceremony and reception an adults-only event. Because it is a historic site, the owners of Semple Mansion also enforce a "no children" policy for weddings and large events. We hope you can enjoy the date night out!
You're getting married in the middle of summer. Isn't it going to be hot?
Have no fear: both the ceremony and the reception will take place in the air-conditioned indoors of the Semple Mansion.
We've been assured their AC unit is brand new. We also have the whole mansion to ourselves (which includes an outdoor porch and front lawn to step out if you need fresh air) so you'll have plenty of breathing room as well.
What should I wear?
The dress code is cocktail attire/semi-formal: dresses, skirts, slacks, suits, ties....that sort of thing. Don't forget your dancin' shoes.
What time does the ceremony start?
The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Note: The parking lot across the street is available for use beginning at 5:00 p.m. Please avoid parking in that lot beforehand or else you will risk getting a ticket.
Where should I park?
Event parking is directly across the street from Semple Mansion beginning at 5:00 p.m. The parking lot can fit up to 100 vehicles.
Street parking is also available on the adjacent streets near Semple Mansion.
Please note that parking is not available in the lot across the street until 5:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, please plan on parking on the street.
What will we be eating?
A cocktail hour with drinks and appetizers will take place between the ceremony and reception.
The reception will include a full buffet meal.
Will there be an open bar?
The bar will be open following the ceremony, with last call at 11:00 p.m.
And we definitely encourage you to check out the beautiful wine grotto downstairs!
Will you be live streaming your wedding so we can tune in online?
While we appreciate the virtual streaming option, we have opted to make our wedding an in-person only event.
Is there a wedding registry?
The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. If you generously wish to give us a gift, we will gratefully accept a contribution to our honeymoon fund. If you prefer a gift with wrapping and bows, we are sincerely appreciative, and we have created a smaller, limited registry.
But at the end of the day, your presence is the ultimate present, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.
Will there be a shuttle?
We want you to relax and safely enjoy our big day! While there is no formal shuttle service for our wedding, there are numerous Uber and Lyfts in the area with speedy pickups at your convenience.
