Our Wedding

Lissa&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;met&nbsp;online&nbsp;while&nbsp;both&nbsp;in&nbsp;search&nbsp;of&nbsp;new&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;college,&nbsp;getting&nbsp;a&nbsp;degree&nbsp;in&nbsp;Early&nbsp;Education&nbsp;and&nbsp;Care,&nbsp;just&nbsp;south&nbsp;of&nbsp;Boston.&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;was&nbsp;juggling&nbsp;college,&nbsp;being&nbsp;a&nbsp;dad&nbsp;to&nbsp;his&nbsp;toddler&nbsp;Lisanna,&nbsp;and&nbsp;working&nbsp;north&nbsp;of&nbsp;Rhode&nbsp;Island.&nbsp;After&nbsp;many&nbsp;late&nbsp;nights&nbsp;chatting&nbsp;and&nbsp;hanging&nbsp;out&nbsp;they&nbsp;developed&nbsp;a&nbsp;close&nbsp;friendship.&nbsp;When&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;meet&nbsp;Lisanna,&nbsp;she&nbsp;instantly&nbsp;knew&nbsp;she&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;friends&nbsp;with&nbsp;her&nbsp;too.&nbsp;They&nbsp;got&nbsp;together&nbsp;to&nbsp;play&nbsp;Magic&nbsp;the&nbsp;Gathering,&nbsp;work&nbsp;on&nbsp;homework,&nbsp;go&nbsp;to&nbsp;playgrounds,&nbsp;and&nbsp;have&nbsp;movie&nbsp;nights.&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;graduated&nbsp;and&nbsp;moved&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;northern&nbsp;Massachusetts.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;friendship&nbsp;continued&nbsp;as&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lisanna&nbsp;would&nbsp;come&nbsp;visit&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;and&nbsp;explore&nbsp;playgrounds,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;would&nbsp;visit&nbsp;them&nbsp;and&nbsp;experience&nbsp;Rhode&nbsp;Island&nbsp;favorites. Then,&nbsp;all&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;sudden,&nbsp;and&nbsp;without&nbsp;warning,&nbsp;Covid-19&nbsp;hit,&nbsp;and&nbsp;all&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;worlds&nbsp;were&nbsp;turned&nbsp;upside&nbsp;down.&nbsp;They&nbsp;spent&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;quarantined&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;came&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;decision&nbsp;to&nbsp;try&nbsp;a&nbsp;serious&nbsp;relationship.&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;returned&nbsp;home,&nbsp;they&nbsp;tried&nbsp;their&nbsp;best&nbsp;to&nbsp;connect&nbsp;in&nbsp;Covid&nbsp;safe&nbsp;ways,&nbsp;including&nbsp;a&nbsp;social&nbsp;distancing&nbsp;car&nbsp;date&nbsp;(each&nbsp;set&nbsp;up&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;trunks&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;cars&nbsp;in&nbsp;Lissa's&nbsp;driveway).&nbsp;That&nbsp;fall,&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lisanna&nbsp;moved&nbsp;in&nbsp;with&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;and&nbsp;her&nbsp;family.&nbsp;They&nbsp;grew&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;started&nbsp;to&nbsp;parent&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Lissa&nbsp;was&nbsp;happy&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;Lisanna&nbsp;as&nbsp;her&nbsp;daughter&nbsp;too.&nbsp;They&nbsp;developed&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;small&nbsp;family.&nbsp; Over&nbsp;the&nbsp;past&nbsp;few&nbsp;years,&nbsp;they&nbsp;started&nbsp;having&nbsp;more&nbsp;discussions&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;future&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;hopes&nbsp;and&nbsp;dreams&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;bigger&nbsp;family&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;house&nbsp;with&nbsp;all&nbsp;their&nbsp;quirks&nbsp;included.&nbsp;It&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;point&nbsp;where&nbsp;they&nbsp;knew&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;getting&nbsp;married&nbsp;but&nbsp;just&nbsp;hadn’t&nbsp;officially&nbsp;gotten&nbsp;engaged.&nbsp; After&nbsp;many&nbsp;camping&nbsp;trips&nbsp;and&nbsp;small&nbsp;family&nbsp;vacations,&nbsp;they&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;a&nbsp;family&nbsp;trip&nbsp;to&nbsp;Iceland.&nbsp;They&nbsp;were&nbsp;all&nbsp;excited&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;the&nbsp;puffins&nbsp;and&nbsp;explore&nbsp;this&nbsp;unique&nbsp;island&nbsp;country&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Unknown&nbsp;to&nbsp;Lissa,&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lisanna&nbsp;had&nbsp;been&nbsp;scheming&nbsp;something&nbsp;else&nbsp;as&nbsp;well.&nbsp;He&nbsp;snuck&nbsp;in&nbsp;his&nbsp;luggage&nbsp;both&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;rings,&nbsp;hired&nbsp;an&nbsp;Icelandic&nbsp;photographer,&nbsp;and&nbsp;planned&nbsp;a&nbsp;surprise&nbsp;proposal&nbsp;at&nbsp;Puffin&nbsp;Lookout&nbsp;on&nbsp;Heimaey&nbsp;Island.
