Jeff & Abbey meet through mutual friends at Paradise Park in downtown Chicago.

First official date at The Vig in Chicago. The next few weeks consisted of many dinner dates (including our first time together at Kamehachi - if you know, you know), concerts, and coming up with excuses to see each other.

Abbey asks Jeff to make things official (you heard that right!) and Jeff meets the Toureene family on Dave Matthews weekend (brave soul). This was the weekend Ken & Jeff's love story began.

Chicago shuts down due to COVID-19 - date nights turned into trying new cocktails and charcuterie boards at home; and eventually finding bars that would let us sip on their patios in the middle of Chicago winter.

Jeff & Abbey move in together and get a new roommate, Willy Nelson, 5 months later!

Jeff proposes at Makray Country Club at what Abbey thought was a brunch for a non-profit event. The Toureenes & Matellas were all there to celebrate with lots of happy tears and champagne.
