"Hi there :). " That's how it all started... or maybe it was "Hey there :)." Accounts differ. Either way, cute photos of Becky and Jeff's description of his naturally well-groomed eyebrows got the ball rolling. Thankfully, Becky responded with more than a "Hi there" (or "Hey there") - she wrote in full paragraphs!

The two finally met in person on December 7, 2022 - the 78th anniversary of D-Day. An axe -throwing establishment in Watertown, WI opened just for them. Thankfully, no blood was shed.

Afterward, they had dinner at a nearby cafe and talked (Jeff had an omelette - it was pretty good). They capped the night by walking beside the Rock River, and Jeff asked if Becky was the kind of girl who kissed on the first date. She was, and the rest is history.

But that doesn't mean we're done writing - on the contrary. Several dates followed - mini-golf (Becky won), fishing, board games (Jeff won), watching Yellowstone, concerts, the Mitchell Park Domes, Devil's Lake State Park, Samba Brazilian Steakhouse - you get the idea.

As time elapsed, both realized that the eccentricities they saw in themselves were seen as endearments by the other. They began to talk and dream about the future.

On August 6th, 2023, after several days of catching cow poop in a bucket at the Ozaukee County Fair, Jeff dropped (awkwardly) to one knee and asked Becky to marry him. She said yes, and now they're actually going through with it!
