Rabbi Ruthie hails from New York and has lived in Boulder for 15 years. She is affiliated with Congregations Har HaShem and Synagogue of the Summit, thus giving her opportunities to also do lots of biking, xcountry skiing and dog walking.

Rabbi Ruthie is a second generation friend of the couple, as Zach's mom Roz and  Rabbi Ruthie's aunt Sue  are super close friends. She is honored to be officiating at this joyous union.

Clara Gillispie has been asked to submit a bio and acknowledges receipt of said request. She can verify that Dr. Herz previously attended a debate camp in Washington, D.C., in or around the summer of 2002 and, to the best of her knowledge, has no formal ties to the Communist Party.

Hi! I am Mariana Noé, Zach's philosopher friend. I came to the United States in 2015 with a lot of fear and very shaky English. However, Zach took me into his arms and patiently showed me the world (RuPaul's Drag Race, Ulpian, Popeyes). I adore him, and I am ready to celebrate him as he deserves.

Will St. Clair is a regular on the wedding circuit and has prioritized this exclusive engagement for the 2025 season. Mr. St. Clair and Dr. Herz have collaborated on a variety of projects, including bar trivia, a tabletop game based on a popular reality TV program, and candlemaking.

Frankie (Jeffrey's niece) will be in charge of livestreaming the ceremony to people watching from elsewhere, since she is a Phone Person. She has promised not to use weird filters on us, but we don't believe her.

Kelsey first met the Rev. Dr. Dr. Zachary Herz, Esq., at a high school costume party. He was dressed as a straight man and saved her from a knight in shining armor. Misadventures followed. He earned the Reverend honorific to officiate her wedding.

This is the main hotel, and the bus to the ceremony will be leaving from here. In terms of ambience, it is a nice hotel with all that that entails. There's a pool!

The Brown Palace is a Denver institution. Old-school charm! No pool, but it's really pretty! NOTE: If you stay here, you'll have to walk to the Sheraton to catch the bus but it's only a couple of minutes away.

Let's be honest--you might never have been to Denver before, and you might never go again. So if you've got some time to kill, here are some recommendations!

Activities

A fun fact about Denver is that the weather could be anything, at any moment. It might be gorgeous! There might be hail! If it's nice out, the Botanic Gardens are a beautiful way to get some fresh air.

Zach's not the biggest fan of the Denver Art Museum--it has strong exhibits on Indigenous art, though--but the Kirkland is FANTASTIC. It's one of the better decor museums in the world, and a great time.

Meow Wolf is a trippy, Instagrammy installation of surreal immersive art. Also, happens to be really close to the wedding venue.

Restaurants

Good, interesting Italian--very near Union Station.

Tavernetta

More of a lunch place, in the Museum District and a short walk from the hotel(s).

Leven Deli Co.

A little bit of a schlep, but fantastic chinese-y fusion food.

Hop Alley

This is probably the trendiest restaurant in Denver--not an easy reservation to get. Interesting, hip-as-hell Vietnamese food.
