What are the dinner options?
The dinner we have envisioned is a smokehouse buffet that is reminiscent of our favorite foods from the ren faire! We will have a starch bar including baked potatoes, pierogies, and mac n' cheese, as well as assorted toppings. This will also be served with a pulled pork and smoked chicken, as well as salad and rolls. We can guarantee the food will be delicious!
Is there an open bar?
The bar for both cocktail hour and reception will be open bar! Our venue is a winery, brewery, and distillery, and all alcohols will be their brand!
We have decided to have the additional hour for an after party in their adjacent bar, which at that point will be a cash bar.
Is the ceremony indoor or outdoor?
Weather providing, we do hope to have an outdoor ceremony in the garden of the Mount Hope Estate. If the forecast calls for rain or excessive temperatures, we will have a space indoors as back up! However, we kindly ask that you dress accordingly for an outdoor ceremony, indoor reception.
Are kids invited to the wedding?
This is a child-free wedding! That means no children, other than a few exceptions made by the bride and groom. Though we do love all of the crazy critters of our friends and family, there will be an open bar with an exciting party atmosphere. We want everyone in attendance to feel comfortable without the presence of minors.
Will there be parking available at the venue?
Yes! There will be a parking lot directly connected to the ceremony and reception space.
What is the dress code?
This is a cocktail dress code wedding! We know our venue is the Renaissance Faire, but we do not ask/expect anyone to show up in costume, but anyone is welcome to accessorize or to fit the theme as they see fit!
Is the venue ADA accessible? What is the terrain between the ceremony and reception?
Everything is ADA accessible!
The ceremony is outdoor by the Mount Hope Mansion, a paved walkway down a short hill will take you to the ceremony space in the garden. The reception is a short walk to their barn-style winery. The cocktail hour and bar for the reception are on the lower level, and the reception dinner is on the second floor. There is not an elevator, but there is an assisted lift for anyone unable to take the stairs to the second floor. Please let me know if you have any questions I could direct to the venue!
Do you have a hotel block?
We do not have a block of hotels at this time. I understand that there are many different needs when it comes to a stay for a wedding, so instead you can visit my "Travel" tab and see some recommendations for various hotels in the area! I also highly suggest looking into Airbnb's in the area!
What color is the wedding party wearing?
If you're like me, you maybe have some anxiety over an unfortunate fashion faux-pas. So I am happy to share this information so you can avoid being mistaken for a part of the wedding party! The bridal party will be wearing a eucalyptus shade of green, while the groom's party is wearing brown suit pants with an off-white button down.
