Our Wedding

Where do I even begin? My journey with Anita has been nothing short of beautiful. We were brought together by Sandra—my clearing agent at Tema and a dear cousin of Anita—who thought we’d be a perfect match. She played Cupid and “hooked us up,” and without hesitation, we decided to go on a date. That first date was quite unique—it turned into a family outing, as that was the only free day I had in a packed week. Anita, with her grace and courage, didn’t shy away. She joined us, meeting my entire family from the start. It could have been overwhelming, but instead, it felt natural. She fit right in, and everyone instantly adored her. From that day on, everything just clicked. It’s been a journey filled with joy, laughter, and growth. I’m truly thankful to God for bringing Anita into my life. I believe this is just the beginning of many more beautiful memories to come.

Jeff’s Story

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. I met Jeff through my cousin, Sandra. At the time, I was healing from a breakup—it had been almost a year—and I was just trying to find my feet again and feel like myself. One night, I went to a friend’s birthday party, and afterward, I sent a few pictures to Sandra—something we often did. Later, she told me she wanted to introduce me to someone. I was like, why not? Anything to take my mind off things. She gave my number to Jeff, and we started chatting. But from the beginning, it wasn’t your typical guy-meets-girl conversation. It was different. He wasn’t all over me. One day, he’d check in… then disappear for two. I was confused, but intrigued. We slowly started getting to know each other, and eventually decided to meet in person. Our first outing? Aqua Safari—with his entire family. Yep, you read that right—who brings a girl on a first date with their whole family? I was thinking, this is wild—nothing serious is coming out of this. I figured we’d either stay friends… or not. But as the day went on, I got to know more about him and his family—and I was genuinely touched by the bond they shared. At the time, I was in my final year at school with just a few weeks to graduation. Jeff told me he wanted me to focus on my books—so again, he’d text one day and then go ghost for two. I remember thinking, ehh, what kind of man is this? But oddly enough, it worked. Every time we spoke, I found myself smiling—and the gaps in communication only made me look forward to the next conversation even more. By God’s grace, I graduated—and we had our first official date night. He was so intentional about it. It was beautiful, and from then on, we started talking more. Before I knew it, we were having those marathon phone calls that lasted all night. He started visiting me every day—every single day!—and I remember thinking, wait… is this the same Jeff who used to text once in a while and vanish for days? Because now he couldn’t seem to stay away! Our story wasn’t love at first sight—it was love that grew. Slowly. Steadily. With patience and intention. We learned how to love, how to care, and how to truly show up for one another. It hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve overcome so many challenges together and come out stronger each time. And now? I’m just so grateful. Grateful that I get to do life with him—and no one else.
