Getting to the Church

The ceremony will take place at St John the Baptist in Boldre. This is approximately a 10 minute drive from Lymington but please note there is a poor signal in the forest so we recommend mapping your route before you depart.

To the church

With the large Lymington Waitrose on your left, drive towards the crossroads on ‘Southampton Road’. Continue straight over the crossroads, over a mini roundabout until you reach a roundabout at the Ampress site (with a petrol station and mini Asda). Go straight over the roundabout and immediately take your 1st right down ‘Boldre Lane’. Keep on this road until you encounter a fork in the road, keep left here, then left on to ‘Rope Hill/ Rodlease Lane’ where you will see the Red Lion Pub, followed quickly by a 1st right onto ‘Royden Lane’ which is signposted saying ‘Boldre Church’. Continue on this road until you meet a crossroad with a white signpost saying ‘Boldre Church’ where you should take a right onto ‘Church Lane’. Follow this road up the hill and you should see the church on your left. If you carry on, there is a large carpark behind the church up a gravel track.

To Pylewell

After the ceremony, we will all drive to Pylewell Park for the festivities - what3words ///longingly.veal.ecologist.

For those who are opting to drive to Pylewell and leave your car overnight, please follow the directions to Pylewell below:

From the church car park, please exit to the left onto ‘Church Lane’. Continue on this road until you hit a T junction. Here, take a right onto ‘Pilley Hill/ Pilley Street’ and pass the Fleur de Lys pub. Take the 1st left down School Lane. Continue to follow this road, past Southlands School on your right and follow all the way until you meet ‘Main Road/ B3054’. This is a bit of a tricky junction- cross straight over the ‘Main Road’ to ‘Newton Lane’. Continue down ‘Newton Lane’, bearing right when the road forks, until you reach ‘South Baddesley Road’. Here turn left onto the road and ‘Pylewell Park’ is on your 1st right!

Travel to the New Forest

Trains from London Waterloo depart every 30 minutes to Brockenhurst Station. Accommodation in Brockenhurst is likely to be within walking distance of the station (but please do check!). There are taxis available at the station.

If you are travelling to Lymington, there is a train that runs between Brockenhurst, Lymington Town Station and Lymington Pier Station, departing every 30 mins. Accommodation in Lymington is likely to be within walking distance of the station (but please do check!). There may not be taxis available at the station.
