If you know Jemila, you know she loves to eat! However, this time she was shopping at Jewel Osco for hotdogs and hotdog buns for her church Back-to-school Summer Jam.
As Jemila was walking into an aisle, in passing she saw Isaac, but no words were exchanged. Shortly after, Isaac approached Jemila asking if she knew what peanut butter he could buy to make peanut butter soup?
Jemila said “peanut butter soup? You put peanut butter in soup? Naw, naw, I never heard of that. Hesitantly, Jemila said “ try the creamy peanut butter”.
Isaac said thank you and Jemila continued shopping. Jemila then googled peanut butter soup and learned that it is a dish from Ghana.
As Jemila was leaving the aisle she saw Isaac again and showed him what she had learned about peanut butter soup and that it was a dish from Ghana. Isaac said “ yes, I am from Ghana and the peanut butter soup is made in my country”.
Isaac then introduced himself and next thing you know Jemila and Isaac was in Jewel Osco talking and learning more about each other for four hours.
Now they are tying the knot.
In case you’re wondering, Jemila still has not tried the peanut butter soup.
