When do I need to book by?

You can book your stay now through October 1, 2022. Your initial deposit is due at the time of booking. We suggest you put your $100 per person deposit down as soon as possible in order to ensure that the room type you want is available. You can work out a payment plan or pay it all at once.

Are flights included in the all-inclusive rate?

No, flights are not included. You will need to book your flight separately. However, our travel agent will handle transfers from the airport to the resort. Be sure to select a transfer option when you book your stay.

Which airport should I fly into?

Cancun, Mexico (CUN).

What dates should I stay?

In order to receive our discounted room rates, a 3-night minimum stay is required. The minimum 3-night stay we recommend is 1/13/2023-1/16/2023 based on the planned events, and the wedding being on January 15th. However, we encourage you to come earlier/stay longer if you want to! The room block is available 1/11 through 1/17, which is when we will be staying!

Should I stay at El Dorado or Generations?

It’s up to you! The main difference is that El Dorado is adults only (18+) and Generations is family-friendly. Both resorts are connected and guests can easily go back and forth between resorts.

What’s included in the cost of my room?

Generations and El Dorado Royale are both all-inclusive resorts, which means your food and drinks are included in the cost. This includes food and drinks at all of the restaurants and bars at the resort—no reservations needed. Plus, 24 hour room service, entertainment and activities on the resort. Visit Generations and El Dorado Royale websites for more information on the amenities.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, you need a passport. Double check the expiration date on your current passport and make sure it is valid at least 6 months beyond our scheduled trip. If you don’t have a passport, or yours needs to be renewed, apply ASAP. It can take over 3 months to receive your new passport after you submit your application.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Formal: Trousers, close-toed shoes and collared shirts are required for men. Gowns/Cocktail dresses for women.

What if I can’t attend?

We would love for you to be present and celebrate this moment with us but we understand the cost to travel, and/or scheduling time away from family and work, may be too much for some. Please join us if you are able, but we completely understand if you cannot. Please be sure to let us know individually or through RSVP if you won’t be joining us in Mexico.

Can I use American dollars in Mexico?

Yes! We recommend bringing small bills ($1's) to tip bartenders and servers if you are experiencing good service. Tipping is not mandatory, however, it will likely result in faster service. Make sure to call your bank before you leave and let them know you will be in Mexico in case you need to purchase anything with credit/debit cards.
