It was a chilly January afternoon, where Jen and Austin first met at a gathering of local United Methodist Churches in Salisbury, NC! Over the months following their first gathering, Jen and Austin kept running into each other at work events. However, they were never quite able to exchange contact information with one another. Including the one time Austin lost the sticky note with Jens phone number placed on his desk during the summer.

Jen eventually found Austins work e-mail from a mutual friend. She made the first move and asked Austin on their first date. They had drinks at a brewery followed by dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Jen and Austin made a connection immediately because of their shared work with youth, laid back demeanors, and their shared love of cheese!


After being with one another for 16 months, Austin popped the question on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at McGill Rose Gardens in Downtown Charlotte.


Come August, Austin and Jen are saying goodbye to North Carolina and will be making the move to Shelby County, Ohio! They will be moving to her familys pheasant farm to help with day-to-day operations. Austin and Jen are excited to kickoff the next chapter of their life with all of their friends and family at this wonderful celebration in October. We look forward to seeing you then!
