Things to Do

See LA Through Our Eyes

Here are some of our favorite things to do, places to see, adventures to be had in our favorite city.


Hollywood/LA Area

-LACMA museum- lots of great pieces from Picasso and Warhol, installations and more

-Griffith Observatory- go at night to see a beautiful view of the city- check their site for closing times etc. It's free.

-Getty museum- free museum that you can oversee the whole city and coast

-Amoeba Music Store

-Comedy show at The Comedy Store

-Chinese Theater/Walk of Fame

-Melrose Avenue shops and cafes, Flea Market on Sundays

-Universal Studios & stdio tour

-drive up Muholland drive for views of the city

El Compadre (mexican food)

Night Market Thai Food

The Griddle (best breakfast spot)

Murakami Sushi for lunch

Taco trucks: they are all over LA, serving amazing Mexican food. Great late night food


Santa Monica/Venice/Malibu

-Wine tasting/picnic at Malibu Wines

-Abbot Kinney in Venice (restaurants, shops, bars)

-Rent a bike in Venice and ride up the bike path on the beach into Santa Monica - rent a bike lock so you can stop for beer/lunch

-Ride the ferris wheel on the Santa Monica pier

-Hiking in Santa Monica Mountains (Los Liones Canyon)

-Getty Villa Museum (free but you need to reserve online)

-Cocktails and watch the sunset at the High Rooftop Lounge at Hotel Erwin (get there early)
