What is the dress code?
Classy summer cookout! Collared shirts (ties optional), slacks/khakis, blouses, sundresses (of any length), summery jumpsuits. Essentially, you're not dressed to the nines but your elders will compliment that you look nice. Be comfortable, but please no jeans, t-shirts, or Crocs (you know who you are).
I didn’t get to pick my preferred meal, it only asked me for dietary restrictions!
Correct! For anyone who does not have dietary restrictions, dinner will be a buffet.
What's the venue like?
Imagine a backyard wedding not in someone's backyard. There will be lawn games, a fire pit, and a patio.
Can I take photos and video with my phone during the ceremony?
No, you may not! We appreciate your cooperation. We want our guests to put their phones down and focus on the ceremony. Let's leave the photos to the professional photographer! (and make sure his photos aren't ruined by folks on their phones!)
Are there places to stay nearby?
There sure are! Please check out the "Travel" tab.
Are you going on a honeymoon?
We are! Following the reception, one of our dear friends will be driving us to a hotel at Boston Logan International Airport and the morning after the wedding we will en route to Aruba!
Will there be an open bar?
Alas, no. There will not be an open bar.
Will there be a bridal shower?
No!
No bridal shower? But when will I give you guys my gift?
If you do decide to get us a gift, thank you so much! We envision three ways you can get that to us:
1. Buy it off the registry and ship it to us directly
2. Buy it off the registry, ship it to yourself, and then give it to us whenever you want between now and the wedding!
3. Buy it off the registry, ship it to yourself, and bring it with you when you attend our wedding.
Again, thanks for thinking of getting us something!
