This trail winding around Lady Bird Lake offers 10 miles of walking and biking path in downtown Austin.
Paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake (not actually a lake but a dammed section of the Colorado river) is a fun way to enjoy a sunny early fall day in Austin!
Beautiful botanical gardens and trails filled with native plants.
This is the oldest LGBTQ entertainment venue in Austin and usually has drag shows on a weekly basis. Check out their site for what's happening while you're in town!
This is an amazing Peruvian restaurant serving up delicious food and cocktails (the margarita is one of the best in Austin, in our opinion!) and they have a really nice outdoor area. Perfect for a sunny day! FYI-they just went through a name change from Llama Kid to Llama Queen and their Instagram seems to have more info (@llamaqueen_atx)
They offer a seasonal menu of unique dishes using locally sourced ingredients. SO good and just a short walk from our wedding venue!
Yummy vegan cheeses, meats and sandwiches! This is a chill spot in Mueller, with limited dine-in seating but has some outdoor tables. Oh and you can pick up some wine here too if you want!
Tasty, authentic Mexican food at a really affordable price. This is one of the many great restaurants on E. Cesar Chavez
Fun, family friendly brewery with several food truck options. Sometimes they offer live music, check out their website. We love this spot!
Great Mexican soulfood! If you're looking for a great (alcoholic) drink, try anything with their watermelon infused tequila.
A Latina woman owned taqueria with a very pink, very extra kinda vibe! If you're at a DJ'ed brunch drinking a cocktail that came with heart shaped sunglasses you might be at Taquero Mucho!
Great tacos and juices! A local favorite. The Cesar Chavez location in the Line Hotel is closest to our venue but they have other locations you can check out here: https://veracruzallnatural.com/locations/
If you've never had BBQ in Texas, check out this place! Franklin's is amazing too but there is always a long line--they do have a takeout option though.
